Willing is not the same as suitable.
Both businesses are read together. An open account is not spare capacity. A suspension is not an automatic yes, and it is not an automatic no.
What is considered
- Who owns and directs each business
- The products, customers and countries
- The website the customer actually uses
- Processing history and any suspension or restriction
- Fulfilment, refunds and complaint patterns you can describe
- The proposed access, settlement and exit
- Whether the processor has permitted this arrangement, in a form that can be checked
What stops progress
- An undisclosed or substituted seller
- A refusal to describe the products or the website
- A request to share account passwords or to hide a suspension
- A plan to use the partnership to get around a restriction
- A change of payout beneficiary that the processor has not permitted
- Missing permission for the actual merchant, products and website
- Responsibilities that nobody will put their name to
- A tick box offered as if it were approval
